My name is Ben Drahman, a Senior in Spokane. I've been playing the game of golf since I was very young. However, I preferred baseball growing up, and did not play competitive golf until Sophomore year when I made it onto Mt. Spokane High School's golf team.
This past Summer, toward the end of what was my second High School season and Junior Golf season, I felt myself playing much smoother golf, and eliminating errors, and understanding strategy much better. I have been playing near par since a 5th place finish at my last tournament.
Right now, I am working weekly with Coach Runyan to prepare for the 2020 season, and look forward to contributing to my team in Senior year. I hope to be able to play competitive golf in college and contribute to a new team as a player who puts in the hard work so I can consistently perform in competition.
"Ben Drahman is a true 'late bloomer'. After playing competitive golf for only two years, he lowered his scoring average by 12 strokes. Our program has produced 14 collegiate golfers and I would put Ben's mental toughness and work ethic near the top of that group." — Head Coach Greg Schultz, Mt. Spokane High School
