My golf career started my freshman year of high school. My high school coach took a gamble on me to see if I would turn out. The first year I played a handful of matches to letter but just meet the goal to. When my sophomore rolled around, I worked hard in the off-season to make the top four. When season came around I got the fourth spot and made varsity. That season we did not graduate anyone. In that off-season I worked just as hard to get better. I would beat our three almost every round but she was a senior and coach asked me if i could stay at four out of respect. i would agree to stay at four junior year. My senior year come in when quickly. i played the three spot and had that chance at two but didn't grab it. My senior year was my best year yet. i was shooting in the 80's and had my swing figured out. We get to tournament play late in the year and i reach my highest point of the year. We won the first Mid Ohio Valley League golf tournament and I was named all-tournament along side two of my other teammates after shooting a 84. We went to OVAC's two days later and I shot a 95. I have never played so well in my life. The next week we had to play in the OVGL tournament. i went on to shoot a 87 and was okay with that until i looked at the score sheet to see we missed out on second place by one shot. As a team we peaked about a week or two too early. We went to the regional tournament and didnt place. we had a golfer go to state but not as a team. In four years I have went from shooting 120/130 to shooting in the high 80's.
