My goal is to play college golf. I am a very committed athlete. If I am not doing anything I am at the course working on my game 24/7. I have good leadership qualities. I am always there to help the team out when they are down. A trait that is different is that I am not afraid to say what is on my mind. Another thing is that I am very confident and I do not have any real nervousness when I play. I am willing to give a good effort on the course and in the classroom. I am a very active person in the community. I show this when I volunteer to help young kids out in their golf game or hockey game. I enjoy doing this and I do not just try to help them in sports but I try to teach the kids life lessons in becoming a good person. There are many people in my life who have made me who I am. My parents are a big part of teaching me nothing in life is handed to you. And that has made me realize how hard I have to work to get to where I am by me being at the course practicing. The one that has really influenced me is my grandpa because he taught me how hard I have to work but also and probably the most important is to be considerate to people. And I have found a way to take that advice bring in my game and make my team better which then comes with success. I became really interested in golf when I was about 7. Although I have been playing it since I was 2. But it really struck because of the respect and how much integrity the sport teaches you and I loved that. I also loved the thrill of hitting that pure shot. Nothing else is like that. Through playing the sport I found how confident in myself I am and now that has made me not afraid to take a risk to get a reward. My academic goal for High school is to take challenging classes and get an A in there and college is to get a degree in what I love to do so I can make money right out of college and be ready. Some obstacles I have had to overcome is people telling me I cannot do it. I have had some injuries which have made me take time off the course.
