George Kneiser '16 Recruiting Profile

As a naturally-gifted three-sport athlete, I’ve always been very competitive.  I’ve had success as a starting Varsity Quarterback and Point Guard, but it’s golf that has really ignited my passion.  Starting competitive golf just last year, I was able to earn Varsity Team Captain/Most Valuable Player as a sophomore, relying mainly on natural skills without formal instruction.  A lot has changed since then as I’ve had many lessons and sharpened up my game greatly.  Seeing my swing coach, constantly developing consistency in my swing, improving my short game, and hitting on my own throughout the offseason gives me confidence that I can lower my scores and handicap immensely this high school and summer tournament season.

I aspire to play competitive college golf, pushing me to be the best I can be on the course, and to get a great education to prepare me for the next part of my life.  I believe golf teaches many life lessons, and I truly just love being around the game and playing it the right way.  As a student athlete, I will apply the discipline required for success in golf to my academics as well.
