Personal Statement

For my goals in life, from hockey to education are as follows:

I always give a full effort even if things get tough. I want to continue my hockey career and continue to win games and be the best goaltender that my team will need to take them and myself to the next level.  Being an athlete and setting goals that will allow me to strengthen myself is something I take seriously.   Attaining a business and/or an agriculture degree is an area of education I would like to pursue.  Being born and raised on a farm, I know how to work hard and get past obstacles that are in front of me. My family taught me at a young age work ethics and to respect and help others, and to never give up your goals you have set. Currently I work part time and volunteer,  along with my hockey and training on a daily basis.

Training

  • Weight Lifting
  • 5 years
  • Off-Ice training is just as important to me as on-ice training. Weight training is something I believe one needs to become stronger as a net minder. Over the last three years I have reached goals that I have set and now striving to reach further goals. Conditioning on and off the ice is key to success. I push myself mentally and physically to reach these goals. Deadlift: 490lbs Bench Press: 300lbs Squat: 425lbs Trap Bar Deadlift: 580lbs 30 metre sprint: 3.9 seconds
