UPDATE: I am currently playing in the EHL with the Connecticut Nor'Easter. As a first year player it has been a great experience. My goals are still the same. I would love keep moving towards the highest level of play. I still aspire to make it to NCAA.
I grew up in the small rural non-hockey market of Flagstaff Arizona. I have played this beautiful game since I was 4 years old. As with many kids, initially, my father’s passion for the sport propelled me to play. I didn’t like getting up and going to 6U small area games and practices. Eventually that changed. I’m sold. Playing hockey is what I want to do! It’s hard living in a market that is so removed and under-rated. I know I can succeed, break the geographical barriers that are difficult to overcome. I know my ability and Hockey IQ are the things that set me apart from the pack. I might not be the fastest or strongest right now, but I keep up, out-smart players, and show up to work every day. I have always been a top 3 player. I love the assist; I am a playmaker. I know when to share and go hard. I love goals, but I love winning more. My favorite play is the one I help make happen. I know I’m late to the recruiting game. Give me a chance and I will show my teammates, my coach, my community, and the world what I can and have accomplished.
My current realistic goal is to play in Juniors or ACHA; college and the NCAA would be a plus. Because of our small market, and without much exposure, I feel Juniors or the ACHA is my ticket to the highest level of play. Who knows, some with less opportunity have made it to the show. If that is not in the cards, well, I am still living my best life, my passion, and playing hockey at the highest level possible. That’s what I can and want to do. I want to contribute to a team, continue to be one of the best teammates, players, and community members I can be. This is who I am. I was born for this opportunity.
Over the last several years being chosen MVP, selected for All-Star teams, and the Arizona All State teams has made me and my family realize High School Hockey is not the end of the road. I am not ready for City-League or “Just-For-Fun” just yet. High School Hockey is not the end of my career. I want to play at the highest level, the highest level I can reach. Don't let our small market statistics fool you. Give me a chance, let's talk.
