Ethan Montgomery '23 Recruiting Profile

Greetings, my name is Ethan Montgomery, I am a 6’2”, 185lb. Senior Goalie from Peoria, Az I started my playing career with Mission Arizona, and have played Tier 2 hockey my entire club playing career (7yrs).  For the 2021 season, I played  for the Coeur D’Alene Hockey Academy 16uAA team based in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. This year, I’m rostered and play for the CDA 18u AAA prep academy.   I started skating at the age of 6 and have been playing hockey since age 8. In addition to club hockey, I was also selected to play Varsity D1 hockey for Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Arizona. 

While playing over the years, I have been told by my coaches that some of my best attributes are that I am a dedicated athlete who is a great teammate, extremely coachable and humble.  Outside of the rink, I excel in my studies and put forth the same effort in the classroom that I do on the ice  I currently hold a 3.82 GPA with aspirations of pushing that higher by the end of my senior year. 

When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, my options are open. Currently I am looking at schools in the West and Midwest region, however I am open to going anywhere to a school of any size. My choices for a major are Engineering, Business Management and Communications.  My athletic goals are to play hockey right away at a high level and to make an immediate impact both on and off the ice to help the team succeed.
