Ryan Arrigo '18 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'10" goalie weighing 154 lbs with quick reflexes and am very coach-able.  Originally from Florida, I currently reside in Arizona and am scheduled to graduate high school in 2018.  I attended advance classes in Math and Science and currently maintain a 3.8 gpa.

Growing up in Florida, I was fortunate enough to be a member of the 'Young Eagles' program, co-piloting small aircraft.  I was also a team member racing high performance one-design sailboats in local venues.   My faith is also very important to me.  I am a peer leader in my youth group as well as a member of the 'How to Life.' organization.  I also own my own faith based clothing line company that I am developing on-line.  

My grandfather, father, and his siblings are Canadians and have all played competitive ice hockey.  I have been playing hockey since I was 5 years old and have been skating since I was 18 months.  I began as a wing player and at age 12 moved to goalie.  I love the position and desire to continue becoming faster and better each year.  

I am seeking to find a good balance between classroom and athletics.  I am interested in schools that have a good academic program in Math and Science, however I have not chosen a major yet and am open to all opportunities.  Financial Assistance will be a very important consideration to me during the college selection process as my family is in need.  

I am a dedicated, hardworking player who firmly believes in teamwork.  Ideally I would like to be at a program where I could be able to make a significant contribution both on and off the ice and with my teammates.  I would like to excel both academically and as an athlete.
