One of the best things to have ever happened to me was not making my club team in 2016. From the moment I found out I didn’t make the team, I had two choices; I could give up or I could work harder and make the team next year. I chose to use not making the team as motivation to better myself as a player. I realized at that time that I am in control of my future and that others can’t want it for me. I have to want it and I have to work for it.
I have always loved the game and I want to continue to push myself and play at the highest level possible. I love the competition and camaraderie. I want to continue doing the thing I love throughout college. The prospect of improving and moving forward to the next level of the game drives me. It motivates me to be the best that I can be at everything I do.
