I am a gritty 5' 10", 175 lb. right-hand shot defenseman with a large frame and not afraid to play a physical game. I am a team first player who consistently works hard on and off the ice to improve not only myself, but my contribution to the team. I am a hard working, dedicated student that believes that classroom work is just as important as work on the ice. I love to play the game, and am committed to becoming the best hockey player, student and person I can.
I have been told that I have speed, especially for someone my size. I consider myself a two-way defenseman, comfortable taking shots from the blue line as well as getting downlow and picking up rebounds. I will jump into the rush when it makes sense to do so, as well as stay home when the situation calls for it. I have a hard, accurate shot from the point, and am skilled at shooting one-timers. I play a physical brand of hockey, and I like to work in the corners and along the boards.
I am committed to consistently elevating my level of hockey skill and overall play. I work with a power skating instructor and a puck handling instructor to improve my skills in those areas. During the off season I am on the ice at least 10hrs a week, and play on various tournament teams - as well as work with my power-skating and stick handling coaches.
Hockey Achievements and Awards
I have been invited to and participated in the SCAHA, and CAHA Selects program from Bantam onward. This program is reserved for the best players within the various age groups across Southern and Northern California.
I was invited to (and attended) the Cali Prospects Camp showcase in Los Angeles in April 2019, and invited again in April 2020 (Though COVID-19 postponed the camp indefinitely). Cali Prospects Camp is an invite only showcase for the best players in California, and others from the western United States.
I have been invited to (and attended) several junior team prospect camps during the past three years, including NAHL, and USPHL prospect camps. I attended the Austin Bruins NAHL prospects camp in 2019.
Current Team
For the 2021-2022 season I am playing for the 16U AAA Los Angeles Jr Kingsplaying in the Tier 1 Elite Leauge. I play top 4 Defense, as well as time on the PK, and PP lines. For the 2022-2021 season I look forward to making my way towards Juniors or the NAHL/USHL.
