Hi Coaches,
My name is Breken, a 2007 birth year player living in Sunny Southern California. My goal is to be a Division 1 student-athlete hockey player. I currently play for The Anaheim Jr. Ducks U16 AAA. I'm fortunate to have some pretty great coaches to help me continue to improve and develop as a player and a person. I have a deep love for the game. I love being part of a team. My mom and dad have taught me the importance of working hard, taking risks, having fun, and treating others with kindness and respect. As a hockey player, I'm kinda unique! I play both defense and forward for my team. I played defense mainly growing up but 5 years ago my coach at the time saw an offensive side to my game and moved me up to forward. Over the next 2 seasons, I played center and had a blast. For the past 3 seasons, I've played this role of moving up to Center/Wing and back to Defence depending on the game situation. I think it's an asset to my coaches and my team to be this double threat on the ice! This year with The Jr. Ducks I'm playing in all situations, PK, PP, protecting a lead late, down by one trying to tie it up late, and shootouts. I'm happy to help the team wherever I can with my unique skill set. Finally, I take pride in getting good grades. I have to work hard at school. I have dyslexia. I have learned to push through and overcome. Dyslexia has also been a strength in my life. I am able to think more critically, display more reasoning, and be more creative because I am dyslexic. I have a 4.0 GPA and am proud of that. I think I'm a pretty cool kid! Feel free to reach out and say hi.
Thanks, Breken
