My name is Owen Thompson and I'm a committed, motivated hockey player. I've been playing since I was 5, and for the 11 years that I've been playing hockey, I have played at virtually every level of hockey, including multiple years of varsity high school hockey and a year of AAA with the Jr. Sharks.
I've always had a love for hockey and the competitive atmosphere and the close relationships with the team, and that love for the sport has always motivated me to play at the highest level I can. But even though I always work hard to improve my skills on the ice, I make sure not to lose sight of the importance of academics, and throughout my high school experience, I've learned to balance competitive athletics with academic achievement.
I'm open to really anything when it comes to colleges, and I'm just as happy to attend a small college on the East Coast as I am with attending a larger college on the West Coast, as long as there's a good academic experience and a chance to continue playing hockey. I'm considering majors mostly in the humanities, but I haven't narrowed it down much and I'm open to a wide variety of majors. My goals in athletics are to play hockey at either a DIII or ACHA level.
