Abraham Piroozmand '24 Recruiting Profile

When I was 10 years old, I put skates on for the first time at a birthday party and my interest in playing hockey was born. Hockey has helped me overcome difficult times by showing me perseverance and the necessity of dedication to practice. Learning these skills has translated into my schoolwork and I have become a better student. Due to hockey’s need for perseverance and dedication, I have quickly learned how to overcome obstacles such as my late start into the sport. Through playing hockey, I have learned that if I stay dedicated to something, I can do anything at a high level if I start late. Academically, my expectations are to always be in the top 10% of my class in both high school and all of my studies in the future. I am a flexible hockey player, which allows me to play comfortably on either offense or defense. Regardless of the position, I play with speed and bring the skills required for that position. I can also play an aggressive and physical game and won't get too many penalties.
