My name is Jake Carlson and I attend Marmion Academy in Aurora, Illinois. It has always been a goal of mine to play college baseball. I hope to be able to continue my athletic career while still receiving a great education. My intended area of study is business, but I also have an interest in law. My greatest quality on and off the field is my leadership. I can be focused and strict in certain situations but I also understand having fun is a big part of baseball. In addition to baseball, I play ice hockey. As team captain this year, I was able to help my team win our first State Title in hockey! For baseball, I play both for my high school and summer ball team. I play Varsity shortstop at Marmion Academy and shortstop and outfield for my club team, the Downers Grove Longshots. However, Academics has always been number one to me. My current GPA is 3.92 and my ACT score is 27. I am a current member of the National Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society. I am invloved in JROTC, chemistry club, spanish club, MENtor Program, Youth Outreach Team, and weightlifting club. I hope to find to find a college that will help me achieve my aspirations.
