A few things that have influenced my life up to this point have been my family, sports- dreams of becoming a superstar-, my connection to the city of Philadelphia, and my love of building Legos. I started my skating lessons at 5 years old, but I never fully committed to hockey until later. From that year on I played soccer, rugby, baseball, basketball, track, cross county, and lacrosse as well as hockey.
In 2016, I fully committed to travel hockey and have never looked back. The sport always gave me enjoyment when playing and watching, especially watching the Flyers with my family, and the friends I made while playing I have not forgotten, and they have given me so many unforgettable memories. While playing hockey, I have discovered that I never give up, no matter the competition and the situation presented to me. I also have learned that improvement is always needed to become a great player, and that sportsmanship goes a long way in life.
With school, I always take the more challenging courses, especially AP courses, and try to push myself to maintain a high 4.4 gpa through the rest of high school. I focus mostly on mathematics and chemistry, and I plan to study engineering when I go to college. Some obstacles that I have had to overcome have been having to qualify for AP classes and study hard to maintain my gpa. In hockey I have had to overcome set teams with travel hockey and having to work harder than other players to make the roster of better teams due to not having as much natural talent.
The main skills that I have with hockey are speed and a high hockey IQ. School comes naturally to me, and it helps me maintain my gpa. In my social life I do make friends easily. I have great ability in building legos, I still ask for sets for Christmas, and I love tinkering with other objects. I also regularly visit the Jersey shore to spend time with my family from Philadelphia.
