My parents are a big influence on me because they are very successful and they have always taught me to never give up. They also taught me when something doesn’t work to try a different strategy. I have been skating since I was two years old and I have never stopped playing since then. I think I became interested in hockey because of my dad. I have learned how tough that I can be and that I will always try to help my friends before I help myself. I have also learned how much work has to be put in to get the smallest victory. Another thing I have learned about myself is that I feel satisfaction in representing my team, my school and my friends. In high school I want to get grades good enough to get me into the college of my choice and I want to be able to look back on high school and be able to say that I learned a lot. In college I want to earn grades good enough to get a good job and have more options than just one. I have definitely had to overcome my size. Most people see me and say he can’t do that he’s too small, or he couldn’t beat them out he isn’t tall enough. I am good at math and I can make friends pretty well and I can find ways to fit in with people.
