The very first time I stepped on the ice I knew I wanted to play hockey. My dream since I was a very young was to play hockey at the college level. Over the past few years, my High School hockey team, Lunenburg Ayer-Shirley Blue Knights, have made it to the district finals every year. My Freshman year we won states, my sophomore year we lost in the district finals, and during my Junior year we lost in the state finals game. In addition, I made the U18 U.S.A Ball Hockey team. This year we were supposed to travel to Finland and face off against Canada, and other countries. However it got postponed to next year due to Covid-19
Throughout my years of playing this sport I have always been a team leader, encouraged my teammates, always gave my 100% during practices and games, and most importantly I am very coach-able. Ever since I was young, I was always one of the smallest players on the ice. However I used this as motivation to get better by training harder on and off the ice. I would go to the gym everyday to get stronger, as well practice as much as possible.
During school, I maintain a high GPA, which is 3.5, and always strive to challenge myself and do my best. Off the ice , when I have time, I help out my community. Over the past years I have consistently helped with a learn to skate program at my local rink. Overall, I want to attend a college that is right for me. I want to be able to push myself academically and on the ice to become better. In the end I want to make everyone who supported me throughout my journey proud of my achivements.
