Joseph Weise '20 Recruiting Profile

I began playing hockey when I was 7 years old. I was given a chance to play goalie that year when the team goalie was sick.  I loved it, was successful  and have been playing goalie ever since.  I joined the Woodhaven High School team my sophomore year.  I have been the starter for the past three seasons.  This past season, our team won the Metro East Division with a perfect 10-0 record.   I have challenged myself to work hard to improve each season.  I have maintained a GPA over 3.5 each year while taking college and high school level courses at the same time.  I am proud that a strong work ethic has helped me be a two sport athlete (hockey and golf) while maintaining excellent grades.  Volunteering in my community is also important to me.

I would like to continue playing junior or college hockey. I am looking to play for a junior hockey program that will help me to improve my strong skill set and push me to play at the highest level. I am also looking to play in college for a program that will continue to challenge me both athletically and academically.  I believe that my strong work ethic, size and desire to be the best that I can be would be an asset to any program.
