My goal is to attend a school that challenges me academically, while preparing me for a future career. In regards to hockey, I've dreamed of playing at the college level since I was young. While winning is everybody's goal, I strive to be the best teammate and player to all associated with the team, realizing that I am at my best when I work towards the goals of the team, and not simply for myself. I actively work to improve my skills by attending both clinics and training that are recommended by my coaches, as well as those I think will make me a better all around player. When I think it would be beneficial, I try and share my experiences with my teammates. I feel the biggest compliment that I have received as a player having been voted as Captain (and previously Alternate Captain) by my teammates and coaches. Away from hockey, I participate in track and field through my school and am enrolled in all honors and advanced placement classes offered based on my grade level. I love to teach myself various languages and learning about other cultures. I also believe in the importance of being a "good citizen" and doing what I can to help improve my community. Currently I volunteer with the Detroit Ice Dreams, the Clinton River Watershed Council, Relay for Life, along with the Roseville and Mt. Clemens Goodfellows.
