My name is Lucas Wahlin and I am a senior at Hill-Murray High School. I am a four year student athlete as I excel in the classroom, on the ice and on the lacrosse field. I am a proven leader on the varsity hockey and lacrosse teams as my teammates look to me to keep everyone positive and lead the team on and off the rink and field. I have a great passion for the game of hockey and my work ethic and determination set me apart from other student athletes. On the ice or on the field, I play every game to win. My hockey team was fortunate enough to make it to the Minnesota High School Hockey Tournament. Playing in front of over 18,000 people was the thrill of my hockey career. I had a goal and an assist in the two games we played. My goal is to lead my team to the Minnesota High School State Championship this year. As I look toward next year, I very much want to continue to play hockey. Junior hockey is the likely path and I am willing to do what it takes to play in the NAHL or USHL. I feel I have the skills, strong hockey sense, work ethic, determination, dedication, leadership skills and the will to win. My long term goal is to play college hockey, similar to my dad who played at the University of Maine and my cousins - one played at UMass Amherst and the other currently plays at St. Cloud State.
