I made my high school Varsity hockey team (2019-2020)my freshman year. Our team was considered by many to have a good chance of making it to State. On a team of 9 seniors and 8 juniors, I was the second leading goal scorer on the team and stepped into a goal scoring role my first year. I had to compete for a regular shift with guys two and three years older than me, this drove me to give it my all every practice and every game. I have never been the tallest or the heaviest player on any of my teams, the result of which has made me gritty and hungry to constantly strive to be a top competitor. I am a team player no matter what sport I am playing (Varsity Hockey, Varsity Golf, Varsity Cross Country or JV Soccer). I continue to strive to be a well rounded student - which includes competing in Debate, taking honors level classes, and being asked to play violin in my schools Honors Sinfonia orchestra. This year I am challenging myself by taking an advanced writing class along with my honors courses. I currently have also started a greenhouse project, where I am growing vegetables to provide fresh produce year round to local food shelfs.
