John Schweppe '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is John Schweppe and I am a student at Westminster Christian Academy.  I started skating when I was 3 years old and I started playing hockey by the time I was 5 years old.   I started playing with the Kirkwood Stars and then moved on to AAA with the St. Louis Blues.  I had the privlege of competing against some of the best teams in the nation and even play at PeeWee Quebec.  In addition to playing for the AAA Blues, I have also made my high school varsity team as a freshmen.  I have a lot of interest in Business and possibly medicine.  I want to attend a D 1 four year University where I can persue my educational goals as well as continue my hockey career.  I am a solid defenseman who protects the goalie and makes sure no one gets past that blue line.  I am dedicated and work hard in school and on the ice as well as taking any additional time to train in the gym.  One positive statement all sporting coaches have said about my style of hockey is that it is solid and I am extremely coachable.
