Hello, my name is Nicolas Corsaro but I go by the name "Nico". I started playing Ice Hockey when I was 6 years old after watching the Philadlephia Flyers in a playoff run. From that moment I knew I wanted to be a hockey player. I convinced my dad to take me to the ice rink and from the very first moment I put on a pair of ice skates I knew my life would be changed forever. It was all I could think about and all I wanted do. I watched every Flyers game on TV and then started watching videos of how to skate and play hockey. My Dad enrolled me at our local ice rink and before I knew it I was skating fairly well. I went to the rink almost every day so I could be a better skater all the while studying the game of hockey by watching youtube videos. After a few years of playing I quickly started trying out for the best local teams and was climbing through the ranks from A to AA up to AAA.
I am always the first one on the ice and the last one off the ice. I look at each and every practice as an opportunity to get better by working as hard as I can. Before long, my coaches started putting me with the older kids and I worked even harder to prove I could keep up with them. I was always one of the top 3 points leaders on my teams.
I make sure I ALWAYS eat a healthy diet and work out in the gym with my trainer and do my off ice conditioning all the while maintaining a balance of on ice training with my private coaches and instructors.
Mid 2017-2018 I was recruited by the TIER 1 AAA USPHL Jersey Shore Whalers and signed with them for the 2nd half of their season. The 16AAA team finished 1st place in our division and made a playoff run.
April 2018 I was recruited by the NA3HL Binghamton Jr. Senators. I have been offered an excellent developmental opportunity with endless amounts of Ice time, gym and off Ice condition. Im currently billeting in Vestal NY with a great hockey family and spend 8-10 hours a day at the rink traning everyday.
Im one of the hardest working players that has enormous respect for my teammates and the coaching staff. I will always give it 100% and I also pride myself on NEVER missing a single practice or game in almost 10 years. No matter what, I show up for everything and Im always early and I will always stay late. My motto is simple "Whatever it takes"
I will be completing my sophomore year of High School on line and Im putting a lot of focus on my academics in addition to my hockey development. Im anxious to get my school ranking as high as I can so that I can be a more attractive recruit for the coaches and schools.
All I ask for is an opportunity to prove myself on and off the ice. I can assure all coaches viewing my profile you won't find a harder working player and student that will be respectful and diligent of all things aksed of me.
I look forward to any opportunities and hope to meet you at a camp soon.
Any questions please feel free to email or call me as Im always excited to talk about hockey.
Thank you for viewing my profile,
Nico Corsaro
