Michael Kuras '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael Kuras, I play for the Philadelphia Jr Flyers 18u National team.  I attend Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School and play for the Varsity Hockey Team, while obtaining a 3.58 gpa.  Many things have influenced me throughout my life setting my goals high to hopefully become a division one hockey player.  One of my greatest influences is my dad.  When I was eleven he was in a horrible accident, which hurt him severely.  His attitude to get well again, helped me push toward my goal to play at the highest level of hockey that I can.  Another influence would be playing swing my freshman year of high school.  It has pushed me to be the the best player that I can be on and off the ice.  I have been told that I am very coachable and show perseverence, even if the team is down 5 goals I won’t stop giving 110%.  I can adapt to any system even if it is complicated and feel that I can pick it up quickly.  Overall as an athlete I want to play at the highest level possible while maintaining a high GPA and become the best student athlete that I can be.
