Cory Price '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Cory Price from Runnemede, New Jersey. I play Ice Hockey for the Hollydell Hurricanes at the moment. Hockey has always played a huge factor in my life ever since I was a little kid. One thing that I've learned over the years is that nothing is ever given to you, especially in hockey. I usually am on the ice practicing at least twice a week, and games on Friday through Sunday. Out of school, I am hard working. I've always been a student that has gotten A's and B's. School is important, especially if I want to get into a college that'll help further my hockey career. One player I admire is Auston Matthews. In my opinion, his game is so amazing. It ranges from the amazing quick wrist shot release he is able to pull off, to his quickness on the ice to allow himself to get around defenders and create scoring opportunities, great hand-eye coordination, and excellent passing. I think he's very hard working, and it inspires me to become a better player and get to that level one day. One thing that makes me different from everyone else, is that I will do anything to get to the next level. I'll get up early to go to the rink to get extra ice time. During weekends, I don't go to parties with friends or the high school football games. Instead, I'm working to upgrade my game. In the summer, I try to get on the ice everyday, but of course some days it's hard to. One thing that has made me work harder is the important school change I made. I recently used to attend Gloucester Catholic High School and played for their team. Now, I attend Triton Regional High School. Obviously when I made this decision, I knew my path wouldn't become any easier, so this also has made me work harder off and on the ice. As you can see, there are a lot of good qualities about me, but of course, there is always room for improvement.
