Nicholas Lyon '15 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing hockey since I was 4 years old.  I have always played center position and occasionally right wing.  Throughout my 13 years of playing, I have been a part of the Greensboro Stars.  I have participated in many tournaments throughout my years of playing hockey and have been a part of many accomplishments with the teams I have been a part of.

My most recent accomplishment was being the 2013 USA National Champion with the 16U Midget Tier II team.  In that same season, I was a part of the 2012-13 Carolinas Hockey League Champions.  In 2012, I competed in One Hockey International "AAA" Challenge in Philadelphia, PA.  In 2011, I competed in the Southeastern District Select 13 Festival in Nashville, TN.  In 2007, I participated in the International Silver Stick Competition and was a Finalist in Sarnia, ON.  I have also been the Captain for the 2011-12 Bantam level and Alternate Captain for the 2010-11 Bantam level and 2009-10 Pewee level.

I would like to take my hockey experience to the next level after high school graduation.  I also want to improve my academic knowledge to be able to secure a professional career in the future.  I am committed to my sport and putting every effort into improving all aspects of the game and my academics.
