My goal for hockey is to keep improving and to play at the highest level possible but I am not only interested in hockey. I have academic goals. I would like to become an athletic trainer or study engineering. Hockey has formed me in many ways and makes me different from all of the other players. I have been trained played both as a forward and defense since I was a mite. Defense has been my strongest position but the time I spent at forward has added other skills to my collection. Persistence and hard work do pay off. I have been cut from teams and worked hard the next year to return to the higher team at a young age. Hockey is a game of growing and learning fast on your feet. I use this in the classroom also. I am willing to work that extra step to make me better at my sports and even as a person. My goal for playing college hockey is to be a team leader and to be a good defensive threat. In addition to hockey, I play are lacrosse and ultimate frisbee. I am advanced in mathematics and science. I advocate for myself when I need help. My character speaks for itself. Teachers, coaches, and peers say that I am helpful, kind, proud, and willing to do more.
