Minor Midget AAA ...Personal Statement
I was born and raised in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Last season I played for the Blyth Academy Prep Hockey Team and played in the National Junior Prospects Hockey League U18.AAA. I was the assistant captain of the OMHA Burlington Eagles AAA hockey team in my minor midget year. I attend Robert Bateman High School and have maintained a 3.8 GPA. In Grades 9 & 10, I made the school track team in 100m, 200m, 4x100m relay and long jump events. I was a junior but competed at the senior level. I also played on our high school soccer, basketball and hockey teams. Aside from school sports, I also played Rep AAA baseball. I played OBA AAA U18 Baseball as a 16 year old. I have competed in all sorts of sports at the rep level, however my main love is hockey. This year, I set aside my other sports to concentrate on hockey. My goal is to play the highest level of hockey I possibly can in the NCAA. I have decided to take Kinesiology/Athletic Training as my field of study. This year I have started my search for schools that I would like to attend.

- Three games into the season I was injured with a separated shoulder and missed 26 games. I have recovered and I am back in the line up. To date I have 4 points in a total of 12 games.

- Zach Anderson has been a confident athlete on and off the ice with the Blyth Academy Bruins of the NJPHL. His strengths are his whole body power, speed and acceleration. His biggest improvements while training at Twist Sport Conditioning (Burlington) have been his mechanical efficiency in strength training as well as improving his mobility for injury prevention. He has the training maturity of a more accomplished athlete and will no doubt continue to improve in the next few years.
