He actively studies footage, analyzes plays, and learns from other goaltenders, using every opportunity to elevate his skills. Known for his respect towards coaches, teammates, and the arenas he competes in, Ty embodies humility and kindness—values instilled in him from a young age. Coaches consistently commend his work ethic, persistence, and unwavering dedication to hockey.
Ty also understands the importance of academics, maintaining an exemplary academic record throughout both elementary and high school. His commitment to personal and team success makes him a highly motivated player who sets high standards for himself. Recognizing the challenges of advancing in hockey, Ty remains focused, giving his best every season. Over the past two years, his performance in minor hockey has led to invitations from multiple teams to try out, showcasing his talent and determination. He has proudly developed his skills in the same Petrolia, Ontario arena that shaped NHL alumni like Dale and Mark Hunter, as well as Pat Verbeek.
