My ambition is to attend university and play hockey at the highest level possible. I fell in love with the sport at age 3, and started to learn to play the game at age 4, after I my parents took me to a semi-professional game. Since attending that game, I have consistently trained throughout the year and I'm currently playing for Coeur d' Alene, a hockey academy.
I pride myself upon leadership, persistence, and being a student of the game. As a leader both on and off the ice, I strive to lead by example through achieving the highest academic marks in school and also being the best player I can be on the ice. I always try to make the players around me better on the ice by pushing the pace and making smart plays. I have learned that listening and learning from your mistakes will always help you develop into a better player and student. I will always be open to improvement through coaching and academic lessons. I never give up on my dreams and will give everything that I have to reach my goals. I am grateful of all the support that my family, friends or teachers, coaches, and community have given me as well.
Throughout my schooling and my athletic life, I have always strived for my personal best. I am driven to succeed, and this drive has made me an A student and a great hockey player.
Coaches see me as a skilled two-way power forward with a combination of speed and strength. I consistently make accurate passes and read the play. Along with a hard and accurate shot, I pride myself on having soft hands and a high hockey IQ.
Although playing professionally is my dream, I know that my education is of the utmost importance. Attending university will allow me achieve both my goals which is to get an exceptional education and play hockey at an elite level.
