My name is Billy Dougherty, I am a 17 year old from Levittown, PA, but I am living in New Hampshire for the hockey season. I laced up my first pair of skates at the age of 3 and started playing hockey at the age of 4, ever since then I have felt a special connection with the sport, every time I laced up the skates, I get excited knowing that i’m going to battle and going to have fun with my 17 other brothers.
My dad is a wireless engineer, and my mom is a child psychologist, and also a concussion specialist, they always taught me to give my best on and off the ice no matter what. So whether it’s in the classroom, or in the gym, i am working as hard as i do on the ice, off it. Since the start i have always wanted to play competitive hockey at a very high level. I realize that college is a huge stepping stone for that.
Away from the game, I love spending time with my family, going to my brothers games, even going out to the grocery store with my mom, and even going to the shooting range with my grandpa, I enjoy every moment and make the most of what i do.
