I'm a hockey player.
I'm a forward who likes to play a speed game with good hands and enough grit to work down low in the dirty areas. My defensive skills make me a responsible player from the point on the power play and strong on the backcheck. I can even spot in on defense when necessary. While I consider myself to be more of a playmaker, I do score my share of goals. My shot is improving. But I get the greatest satisfaction from working hard and getting my linemates involved in offensive zone play.
My near-term and long-term goals are to play club hockey (at the highest possible level, but maybe not AAA), plus varsity high school hockey followed by a year or two of junior hockey to attract interest from mid-sized liberal arts colleges and universities with NCAA hockey programs. If necessary, I'll walk on to make a team, because I am a hockey player and I know that I have what it takes to be a good one at the next level.
