Personal Statement

Thank you for taking the time to review my profile.   Like so many others, my dream is to play as much hockey as possible for as long as possible.    >>>  89Green0801 - YouTube.  I hope you will consider following me and allowing me to keep in touch with you on my progress.

I’m excited to announce I am returned to play with the NJ 87’s!  Equally as exciting is I am returning to Right Wing, where I played most of my career, for the 2024-25 Season.

My education and personal growth are very important to me.   I took advantage of as many AP Classes as possible and maintained a 3.92 GPA, and 4.26 weighted GPA.   While I have My primary position as Winger. I also play Defense as my Secondary Position - I actually played Defense in the 20-21 seasons.

I am very teachable, I want to learn, I want to get better.  My Coaches refer to me as the "hardest working kid on the team" !  I think my ability to listen and put advice into action gives me an edge over other recruits.   My work ethic makes me believe that I have a positive chance of obtaining what I desire. I can not speak as to why I should be recruited over another athlete, but I will promise that I can bring a level of hard work, dedication and being a great Team Player, that will help a team push through the season.   >>>  89Green0801 - YouTube.  I hope you will consider following me and allowing me to keep in touch with you on my progress.

Being named Captain in my U16 year has taught me the meaning of Leadership.  I enjoyed it and continue to develope those pricnicples. I truly enjoy being part of a team...My "game" employs a passing-intensive game, being in the "right position" and focusing on keeping the puck in play. To me, there is nothing better than a beautiful pass to break my team out of the D-Zone, setting up an assist and supporting my goalie, I don't need to be in the spotlight.  I just want to make a difference and be part of a great program.

My ultimate goal is to play for a college where I can learn from an amazing coach, my teammates and professors.

I am excited to now be playing for the NJ 87’s for the second Season.  I still feel my decision to take a gap year my last year of eligibility with the U18 Knoxville Jr. Ice Bears was absolutely the right decision for my growth both as a person and in Hockey..    >>>  89Green0801 - YouTube.  I hope you will consider following me and allowing me to keep in touch with you on my progress.

My hope is that in playing Juniors I can continue to improve to the point where I can be recruited by one of the top colleges/Hockey programs on my list, hopefully to be an incoming freshman for the 2026-27 Season.

During this coming season, I will also be studying for the ACT's with the goal of improving my current score of 31.  I am confident paying for Coach Houli and the New Jersey 87's will launch me into a solid College hockey program.   I will bring my positive attitude, commitment, and loyalty to my team and the "87's". My NCSA profiles me as:

  • They strive to improve and never stop working
  • Will set high standards for themselves
  • Admits faults and mistakes
  • May be self critical
  • Often competitive and hates losing
  • They tend to push themselves
  • Works hard in off-season
  • Typically has serious long term goals
  • May seem distant to those they are not close to
  • Faces reality and expects the same of others

...and my Strengths being:

  • Sets and focuses on goals
  • Pushes self hard
  • Admits faults

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
