Jonathan Shaver II '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a junior at Knoxville Catholic High School class of 2024, and play goalkeeper for both KCHS and FC Alliance 04/05 ECNL-RL.

I have been playing soccer since I was 3, and club soccer since age 8. Since beginning club, I have been playing primarily goalkeeper and secondarily forward. I am 6’3” and 190lbs, and pride myself in my natural speed and reaction. Until this year I have also played school and AAU basketball, making the varsity basketball team as a freshman, but have decided to solely pursue soccer and have a sincere interest in playing at the collegiate level.

As a freshman at KCHS, I was the full time starter for my varsity team, and have been named team captain as a sophomore. I have been privileged to be the full time starter for my Tennessee Select 05 team for several years and have been both quarterfinalist and winner of Tennessee State League with many clean sheets.  I am joining FC Alliance this year and will be playing ECNL-RL.

Academically, I have completed sophomore year with a 4.39 GPA (3.96/4.0 scale).  I am also on track to be fluent in Spanish upon graduation, and I plan to major in Pre-Medical studies in college.

I am hoping to attend an academically strong college with an equally competitive soccer program, and believe I have I have the drive and ability to succeed at both.
