Hockey/Personality 

Hi, my name is Gavin Morris, I love Hockey and have since I was three years old. It has been a passion of mine and makes me the person I am today. I fell in love with the sport when I was 2 because my Mom took me to a Texas Stars Hockey game and I loved how fast it was and how there was play after play and it was so different from every other sport because it was on Ice! I have learned a lot about myself throughout the sport and found my true self, I have learned that I am very outgoing and athletic that I love making friends.  I have had a lot of ups and downs playing hockey my ups are winning the state championship and going to China to play hockey to represent the U.S and this year becoming the alternate captain of the Texas Jr Stars. The only time I was a little bit down with the sport was a year when I played rec because of fanatical circumstances and I wasn't having fun with the sport, but I now enjoy it very much. Certain ways I am different from other goalies are that I am a leader and I am very willing to learn. I am quick and can go from one side of the net to the other making saves no one thinks I can, when I'm not playing I am a guy that gets the guys going on the bench and will put someone in there place if they are being disrespectful to another teammate or goofing off when its time to be serious.

Academic

 I still have a lot of academic goals since I am only in 8th grade, for high school I want to get straight A's and find what I want to do in life besides playing hockey. So far I want to become something around architecture, for instance, I would love to have the job that the property brothers have on TV .  I also am hoping to go to a D1 school and get a scholarship but any D2 and D3 schools would still be awesome. I want to go to a school that will give me the right tools to make it to the main goal of the NHL, the only schools I would prefer not to go to are schools in Canada.
