Ice hockey is in my blood. I have been playing since I was 5 years old in a country where Ice hockey is not a major sport like in other countries.
This means practices were almost every day, but from 8PM to 10PM when I was little, and from 10 to 12PM when I was a bit older. To play games we had to travel for 6 hours by car or bus every weekend, play and come back.
I know the efforts I have made in my life to reconcile sports life and studies, and I have never considered these to be reason for me to quit either.
Now I believe I have the strength, speed, and ability to pursue college level Ice hockey and to continue my studies in Engineering. I am now taking AP classes in Calculus and Physics, and have already scored a 5 in AP Spanish.
My current GPA is 3,2 so my grades have not suffered by the change in language and system from Spain to USA.
So everything I have achieved is through personal effort and a will to succeed.
