Samuel Krug '22 Recruiting Profile

I have a nearly all-encompassing mindset of self-improvement, which alone explains much of my behavior and instincts. Every day I have made a commitment to be a stronger person than I was the last day. I don't compare myself to others much, but rather to who I was yesterday. This mindset gives me great momentum and excludes many external events from affecting my motivation and abilities for long. I cannot explicitly separate myself from my competitors and colleagues, because I do not know them, so I will not try, but I hold my mindset of improvement as the fundamental pillar upon which the rest of my psyche rests. 

As this is an athletic recruiting platform, I find I have provided little information relating to my athletic prowess. I am roughly 6 feet tall, 210 pounds, durable, strong and stable. I can pack immense power into my movements, and as one might guess, be a considerable force in nearly any domain that requires physical (or even mental) competition. 

I boast considerable academic prowess as well. I accelerated two grades and took 4 high level AP courses in my sophomore year, two of which are generally considered to be the pinnacle of one's high school education, specifically AP Calculus and AP Physics C. I have won numerous medals from mathematics and science competitions and consistently push the bar for academic excellency ever higher for my peers. My most treasured fields of study consist of mathematics and the mathematical sciences, namely physics. While many simply tolerate these fields instead of actually prioritizing research into these fields over their daily indulgences and addictions, such as videogames and social media, I spend hours looking in to the intricacies and beauties of mathematics and science.
