My collegiate goals and aspirations are to become a pediatrician. Although hockey is my passion, I want to be able to have a stable career where I can help others in need. I would like to attend a school that is competitive both in sports and academics. I like to be pushed to my full potential and to have to work hard for what I want.
I am a good candidate for any team because I have always been a team player. Ever since I started playing hockey when I was 5, the name on the front of my jersey was more important than the name on the back of my jersey. I am dedicated to myself and my team to be the best athlete that I can be. I work hard every single day to improve myself.
I am different from other recruits because of my passion for hockey and for helping others. I am the team member that watches our previous games to see what happened, where myself and the team can improve, and what we can do as a team to do better the next time. I go to extra ice times, extra workouts, and watch as many games as I can. I set aside time to workout, be with my family, and be successful in school.
I learned at a young age to be accepting of all and to help those in need. My mom is a special education teacher and she always taught me that everybody's differences should be embraced and celebrated. I think that is why I want to help others and be there for them when they need something. I also am accepting of all of my teammates no matter the circumstances. I am there to help them improve themselves and am there if they need someone to talk to.
