From a very early age, my parents have instilled in me a strong work ethic and a penchant for excellence. This preparation has allowed me to thrive both academically as well as in hockey. Although I started hockey relatively late (second grade), after only playing one season at house, I was invited to play on the select team. I believe that this is one of many examples of my passion and dedication towards hockey. I have learned from my career so far that if I choose to work hard and dedicate myself to a goal, I can achieve it.
I apply this mindset to my education as well. I finished my freshman and sophomore year with a 3.9 GPA while taking the most advanced courses offered at my school. Continuing to this year and next, I am enrolled in the full IB program and aim to graduate with all A’s and an IB diploma. Being in IB will prepare me to excel academically in college, as it is my goal to attend a top school not only for hockey but also for education, so that regardless of the path I choose - to continue with hockey or pursue my studies further - I will be successful.
