I am very competitive, and my motivation comes from that. I hate losing more than anything else, and that isn't just limited to hockey. I like to challenge myself academically too, and because of that I do well in school too. Hockey is part of my identity, and I have learned just as much if not more from it than from schools. It has taught me the value of hard work, how to work in a team, and has given me a second family. My teammates are not my friends, because friends are people you pass through life with, but teammates are people who you work with to achieve a common goal. With them, we have won and lost, but from those games we have learned to trust and value each other. I look forward to playing on a college team, and the challenges that come with it. I am interested in architecture and engineering, but also political science, philosophy and history.
