My planned field of study in college is pre-physical therapy with a major in Kinesiology or Health Sciences. I plan to play some level of hockey during college to experience the camaraderie and commitment that comes with being a part of a collegiate team. The qualities I would bring to this team would be reliability with day to day tasks and work on and off the ice. I also bring leadership as a team captain for my high school team as well as being an every year starter in both hockey and soccer. I have shown flexibility playing both defense and offense in high school hockey depending on what my coach needed. Sophomore year I won Defensive Player of the Year and Junior year I won Offensive Player of the Year. I also started playing soccer in my junior year as a goalkeeper, never having played this position before, but made Varsity as a starter. I adapt to things very quickly and am willing and able to switch from one thing to another seamlessly. In some hockey games I would play multiple positions depending on where the greatest need was. I also intertwine my schooling with hockey, understanding the difference of when to focus on school and when to focus on hockey. Outside of hockey and soccer I am involved with various leadership opportunities including National Honor Society and Student Leadership Program (SLP) and am involved with multiple volunteer groups when I am not working.
