Personal Statement

When I first started playing hockey at age 4, I enjoyed being out and skating with my friends. As I grew older the better I became, and soon I aspired to be a household name in my area and be the kid who made his dreams reality.

My dream is to play at the highest level possible and pass my experience as a hockey player onto younger players as a mentor or coach. I want to go to college for a degree in business because I could put my skills I learned from hockey like leadership, and teamwork to use.

I am a 6'4" right wing from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Hockey has made me into the person I am today. I have been a great leader from an early age and have been the captain of many teams. I am respectful to everyone because of the sportsmanship I have showed during games. Additionally, I have an excellent work ethic whether it is school or off the ice I work hard to be the best I can be.

Something I could bring to a team is leadership and charisma. I am a very coachable player, looking to please my coach and while improving my game. I feel like I could be a motivational player on a team whether it is getting a goal or blocking a shot. I will do anything for the good of my team.

I believe the strong part of my game is my catch up speed being able to go down the ice on offense to pick up my man at defense fast, I also have a lot of hockey IQ knowing where the open man is on offense and defense or figuring out where and when the puck will be there next. I am a playmaker, as well averaging 1.24 points a game.

I am driven to continue playing competitive hockey throughout college and I look forward to what the future may have in store.
