Work Ethic matters. And when you speak to my coaches and teachers they will tell you that I am the hardest working, most coachable, most teachable student athlete that you will find.
I thrive on challenge, on and off the ice. So in my Junior year of high school I challenged myself to move away from home, leave Team Wisconsin and play Tier I AAA for the U18 Madison Capitols. As a Senior in high school, I played in the NAHL for the Coulee Region Chill. Since then I’ve played for the Madison Capitols of the USHL, the Topeka Roadrunners of the NAHL and now I’ve made the jump to Canada to play for the Whitecourt Wolverines of the AJHL.
Even though I traveled a lot and went to three different schools while I played AAA and Junior in 11th and 12th grade, I still graduated from high school in May of 2016 with a 4.0 GPA. Keeping my grades up during that time while traveling so much and playing hockey at a high level was hard work. But I made it happen.
I push myself hard on the ice and in the classroom, knowing that my efforts in both areas will help me accomplish my dreams of becoming a college hockey player. In hockey and academics, it takes a high level of skill and intellect to be successful, but I know that it is my work ethic that sets me apart and will take me to the next level.
