I've just started Grade 12 in Airdrie, Alberta Canada and looking forward to my final year of high school. This past year I became a box lacrosse referee which was a great experience and helped me see things from their side of the floor. It taught me how to deal with conflict with adults and better understand the penalties as I've always prided myself in not receiving many penalties throughout my career.
Lacrosse has been my passion since I started spring box lacrosse at 4 years old, I immediately followed with field lacrosse that summer and winter box camps that fall. I continued that pattern for the majority of my 12 years of playing, trying different field lacrosse teams and winter camps. For many years I also soccer and basketball as I believe playing other sports only betters you at lacrosse but lacrosse has remained my main sport and focus.
I want to play collegiate level lacrosse to further my skills and see what my full potential can be. What could make me different from other players is the fact that I have played box lacrosse for my entire life so my physical game is strong along with great fundamentals. In minor lacrosse in Canada you do not have designated positions outside of the goalie so every shift you are playing offence, transition and defense and then off. This has given me skills to play all sides of the floor. It wasn't until I attended a Jr prep camp this past winter that I was able to showcase my offensive play and skill and that is where I've excelled most.
I look forward to putting in the work and playing on the field with a great team!
