A 4-year university is my goal and lacrosse is my game. As a junior in high school (2022 grad), I’m learning about life and hard work, setting goals and what it takes to achieve them. It’s not always easy but I have fun along the way. I’m hard on myself and have high expectations of myself and others. I’m learning that each person is unique and has unique strengths and weaknesses – myself included.
I came to lacrosse via baseball (and basketball and swimming and soccer). I learned that while it takes dedication to hit the ball, it wasn’t my game. I needed something that was faster, more aggressive, more strategic. Something with more camaraderie. Something that pushed me physically and mentally. I’ve also decided that the emotional part is pretty important too. Adversity is okay and does not last forever. It sucks to lose but with loss comes strength and resilience. I’m a student of the game. I like to learn, I like to listen, and I like to implement.
I’m currently an honors student and hope to be an engineer, one who designs cars and one who works to improve the impact on our environment. I’d prefer to go to a smaller college on the west coast, a school that has engineering and lacrosse. I always thought that I’d like to be on the east coast because that’s where most of the lacrosse is played, but I’m learning that there’s so much to see out there and I’m open to all possibilities.
