My goals are centered around protecting and working with the people around me to help the collective. Academically, I want to cooperate with my peers to succeed in order to be able to attend medical school in the military. And while being in the military, my goal would be to draw on the common bond of pride of country to care for those who protect our nation. Finally, once leaving the military medical program, my dream is to develop with my colleagues to find safer, more accessible, less expensive, more effective treatments for cancer. Athletically, I want to be on a team that I can give all my effort and time to that hasn’t been poured into studies. I want my teammates to know that if they drop a ball, I will fight for it and win it back for them. I want them to know that they will always have someone to lean on and that I will pick them up when they fall. Most importantly, I want my teammates to trust in the fact that I work for them, not myself, and that everything I do will be put back into improving the team through doing my part, making myself better, and pushing the entire team to become stronger as a whole, not just with specific players.
