I have been playing lacrosse since I was in 1st grade, since then my passion and understanding of the sport has grown immensely. In this time period I have had the privilege of playing at almost every position within the game, and I have excelled in each of those positions. I have played on different teams under different coaches, and learned from all my experiences. I want to play at the most competitive level possible in college. I know I have to work hard to achieve this goal, which is why my academic performance is also very important.
By being given this opportunity it has provided me with a deeper understanding of the game. Something that has helped this understanding grow is the opportunities I have had as a middle school lacrosse coach. During my time as a coach it provided me ways of incorporating coaching plans and drills into my playing style and the way I practice. I have been told by many people due to my experience and well rounded personality on and off the lacrosse field and other leadership roles I have taken, that I would be a great leader/ captain for my High-school team. This leadership role is definitely a goal of mine for the next 2 years of High-school. I have also been told by bosses, coaches and professors that my work ethic is phenomenal and I always do the job the right way. Lacrosse and my academics have a great relationship they support one another, during lacrosse season my performance academically and athletically has an increase because I know what level i have to be above or at, to continue to play, for example I am always on time for school and practice, I give 110% in everything I do during lacrosse season and everything I do. when given homework from teachers and coaches I make it my priority to get those down before I see them next. In college I plan on studying some form of exercise science or orthopedics.
