As a young child, I always looked up to my older brother and I especially loved watching him play lacrosse. I would go to all of his lacrosse games, and watch him practice for hours in our yard. Finally, when I turned eight, my mom and dad agreed that I could play. That was the most exciting time in my life--I definitely had lacrosse fever! I quickly learned that not only did I enjoy the sport that I had watched all those years, but I was actually a pretty decent player. Since then, I have realized that I thoroughly enjoy the comradery of my teammates and working together with them, to achieve a goal.
All in all, I never realized just how competetive I was until I played this awesome sport. Everyone loves to win, and I am great with that. However, above all, I am mainly competitive with myself. I am often making personal goals each time I step onto the field. I am a very assertive athlete, but others would certainly not refer to me as a "ball hog." I love this sport and I am dedicated to working hard to be better for my team, my school and myself.
