I signed up for Lax Spring of my Sophomore year with no experience. I looked at Lacrosse like I looked at my academics, it was time to push myself to become good at something I knew nothing about. I spent hours working on improving my reaction time, attending camps, traveling to Pennsylvania to work with Brian Dougherty, and working with my assistant High School coach to improve. The work paid off. I am the starting Goalie for my High School Varsity team, and we are ranked in the top 20 within Illinois and are currently in the playoffs. I could not do this if I wasn’t coachable, hardworking, committed to my team, and willing to use any part of my body to block an opponent's shot because nothing is better than the disappointment on their face when they don't score.
