Personal Statement

I am a junior at Ankeny Centennial High School in Ankeny, Iowa. I play FOGO and goalie for the Ankeny Thunder lacrosse team. This summer I also played on a travel team, the Iowa Mavericks.  On this team, I also played as both FOGO and goalie. I am very interested in the sport of lacrosse and am always keeping my stick in my hands to improve my skills. 

I have a current GPA of 3.31. My goal is to graduate in 2020 with a GPA of 3.3 or higher. I plan on pursuing a degree in exercise science. I want to attend a college that will challenge me not only athletically but also academically.

Everyday I am in the gym working out for an hour to help me stay healthy and improve myself. At my school I am a member of the 1200lb club which includes my 4 lift which consists of: 325lb bench, 455lb squat, 255lb hang-clean, and 225lb power-clean push-press. 

I am an active member of my church youth group. I enjoy the community service activities that we engage in throughout our area.
